Felicity Jones was born and raised in the UK and is most well-known as the actress who appeared as Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones has been in theatre, film and TV since she was 12 years old. Her career began with The TV production The Treasure Seekers. In the following film, she appeared as Ethel Hallow in The Worst Witch as well as the follow-up Weirdsister college. The first feature film she acted in was Flashbacks of a Fool (which she starred in), Young Ruth, she went on to play in various other movies. The actress gained acclaim for her acting in movies such as The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The role she played in The Theory of Everything earned her an Oscar nod for the first time. The biopic is based on the scientist Stephen Hawking, and Jones received a lot of praise from audiences and critics due to her impeccable portrayal of Hawking's first wife. Inferno is a Tom Hanks-starring thriller. In the year 2016 The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles announced Jones for the position of British Artist of The Year because of her talents and contribution to the cinema.
