Maribel was born within Virginia and was raised by her parents alongside siblings though information about them is scarce. At the age of a young girl she was interested in working as a lawyer to become an attorney. After graduating at the age of 16 she was accepted at the University of Virginia where she completed a bachelor's degree in foreign Policy and a minor in German. Thomas Jefferson, an author of the Declaration of Independence, founded the university in 1819. Today, it offers more than hundred programs centered on Jefferson's Academical Village - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Around 1,600 acres are devoted to the main university, and a lot more is devoted to the research park in addition to the university's farm.
